Stops along the way will give you an opportunity to enter and experience architectural splendors ranging from the pristine Greek Revival First Presbyterian Church to the Gothic Revival St. Peter's Episcopal Church, home of Florida's earliest still-operational pipe organ. Discover the heart of the city as you drive by Fernandez Reserve and our unique "Silk Stocking" District. Savor a glimpse of the furthermost inland of our coastal system of Lighthouses. You will experience the 55-block Historic District by entering one of the island's many privately restored residences, as well as two of the premier Bed and Beakfast Inns.

Travel along a seemingly endless stretch of shimmering quartz beach as you approach the luxurious Ritz-Carlton. The Ritz-Carlton is also the site of Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, one of the top three classic automotive shows in the country. Pass historic Mount Hope Plantation and the resort/residential communtiy, Amelia Island Plantation, site of the Bausch and Lomb Tennis Championships. As you return to the Historic District, you will drive beneath entwining brances of Live Oaks festooned with evocative wisps of Spanish moss. This is your opportunity to experience the Old South as it used to be.
